We had originally booked a great-looking Air BnB in Valletta, right at the Fort Elmo Bastion with an amazing view of Grand Harbour. When we arrived to check in, we were shocked to find that the place (which was ancient) had 4 staircases that would challenge a billy goat, with very unreliable railings. Disaster! But Christie quickly got on the phone and persuaded the Air BnB host to arrange alternative accommodations, which we loved!
The second Air BnB that Christie booked for us was absolutely perfect. Clean, bright and airy, it overlooked the Sliema coastline with wonderful views of the Mediterranean. The location was a great jumping-off point to all the historic sights, not to mention restaurants and shopping. It was well-furnished, with an up-to-date kitchen and laundry facilities, as well as an elevator and air-conditioning - unheard of when I lived in Malta in the 1970’s! We hated to leave!
The guided tours Christie booked for Valletta, Mdina and the Megalithic stone temples were exceptional with very knowledgeable tour guides, but she also planned the week so that we had time to free-lance and go to where our whims took us. Perfect!
We highly recommend visiting Malta - and do yourself a favor and leave the arrangements to Shoot for the Moon Vacations!

Fantastic experience when booking a very last minute trip, with no real destination in mind! Not only was Christie Gearen quick to provide many option to choose from, she was extremely accommodating, responsive, and kind. She took the time to understand what we were looking for, helped keep me calm when we realized we had an expired passport...AND helped us all along the way of a travel debacle that could have caused us to have a very shortened vacation. The Dreams Flora, Punta Cana resort that she recommended was more than what we ever expected. We can not think of one thing that we were not happy with. The food, staff, rooms -everything was fantastic! I can't speak highly enough of the fantastic service that Christie provided. I can't wait to work with her again!
Christie asked for our ideas and preferences and sent us a proposed Itinerary. It included maps, links, photos and everything we wanted to experience during our trip to Malta. Christie loves traveling and wants everyone to enjoy every aspect of their trip.
